Hi there, I’m Marcie! I’m a designer of digital things and marketing strategist of good causes who uses too many exclamation marks!!!

When the internet began in the mid-90’s (Generation Oregon Trail here 🙋), I discovered a love of connecting with new friends, communities, hobbies, and education opportunities via online destinations (sites, message boards, MMO’s, voice channels, social media).

As a first-wave internet user, I taught myself any new tool, software, database, and social media platform I could get my hands on.

My passion for reaching others beyond the boundaries of my geography grew every day.

I began my work in nonprofit social media in 2009, growing and developing social media marketing strategies as the platforms themselves grew and developed. It felt like the “Wild West” out there and I was an intrepid explorer on its frontier. As my knowledge of digital marketing and fundraising grew, I was invited to speak at conferences and meetings around the world, teaching nonprofit organizations of all kinds how to best leverage their social media channels and online presences to connect with those they could help, and in turn, help them.

In the spirit of my continuous digital adventuring, I have taken the plunge into developing ways and means to connect folks and organizations together through the use of creative digital design and research: websites, destinations, apps, you name it.

When I’m not looking at a screen, you can find me out in my Monarch Butterfly garden or kicking around San Diego with my dog, Ginger.
