A Trustworthy, Loyal Brand

Based on my own dog's sunny and loyal disposition, Gingr is a project where I was tasked to prototype an imaginary e-commerce site. I crafted a style tile, logo, value proposition, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) research to flesh out a full, branded buying experience.

My Process and Insights

  1. #1: This brand was created for an imaginary dog supplement e-commerce business. To stand out against competition I defined brand attributes to display strength, stand out from the competition, and focused on what matters to customers.

  2. #2: I defined the brand as close to the dogs it serves! As a dog parent, I leaned on what I would want to see from a brand that focused on helping senior dogs: sincerity and competence.. with just a little touch of goofiness. My brainstorm included words like: trusted, loyal, tail-wagging, friendly, healthy, sunshiney!

  3. #3: My color palette leaned on my own inspiration: my dog, Ginger. I selected colors that evoked warmth and welcoming.

Why This Project Matters to Me

My dog who shares a name with this brand, Ginger, was my inspiration. She is a 13-year-old dog, and is slowing down a little. In my effort to give her the best life possible, for as long possible, I did research and queried experts on the best course of action. One of those steps was supplements! I thought, "What if there was a business that just offered these, and the expertise, that any dog parent could find - perhaps without an official veterinarian's advice?" And Gingr was born.
